If you’re selling your home, making certain remodels to it can help it sell quickly and for top dollar. Not every potential remodel is necessary, though.

Which remodeling projects should you consider doing before listing?
One of the easiest, least expensive projects you can do that will bring the most dramatic return is painting. A fresh coat of paint won’t cost you too much, and it serves as an instant update for your property.
Another common remodeling project is installing new flooring or carpeting. If these aspects of your home are outdated, updating them can make your home sell faster and, oftentimes, for more money.
Those are the two main projects most sellers can take on. Other projects you can consider are remodeling your kitchen and/or bathrooms. However, these projects cost more and might not benefit your home sale. Usually, kitchen and bathroom remodels bring back less than 100% of the money you invest in them. In fact, their average return on investment is between 50% and 80%.
